Most holiday houses that sleep six give you one bathroom and a sofa bed. Casa Antonius gives you three real bedrooms and three real bathrooms, which is the single thing that makes a week with children — or with another family — work rather than grind.
The condominium does a lot of the rest. The pool is fenced within a landscaped garden with a separate shallow section for small children, there is a playground between the houses, and the whole place is set back from any main road.

Two of them have a bath, which matters more with small children than any amount of square metreage. Nobody queues, and beach sand has somewhere to go.

The surrounding streets are quiet and residential, and parking is safe and easy — the car with all the beach gear in it stands a few steps from the door.

Two floors, a living room, a terrace and two balconies. Children asleep upstairs, adults still up — without anyone tiptoeing.
About the pool
It is a communal pool, shared with the other houses in the condominium, with a separate shallow pool for small children a few steps away. It is maintained by the condominium and open all year. Children must be supervised — there is no lifeguard, as at any private condominium pool in Portugal.
Beaches and days out
Santa Eulália and Maria Luísa are the closest beaches at around two kilometres — a five-minute drive, or a walk downhill if everyone is willing. Both are sheltered, sandy and have places to eat. Zoomarine is roughly fifteen kilometres away for the day everyone has been promised, and Albufeira’s old town, with its restaurants and the lift down to the beach, is a seven-minute drive.
